Smalls Cottage has 2 different options available :

 

Smalls is a self catering 2 bedroom cottage sleeping up to 5 guests, one full bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and toilet. 

Sleeper is a 1 bedroom, non self catering, sleeping up to maximum of 2 guests with a bar fridge and kettle. Shower and toilet. No TV  -  Breakfast can be arranged at R75-00 per person (must be arranged prior to arrival)

This is a friendly family run accommodation which is within walking distance of the beach.  We have all main appliances, open view TV and DVD player.  Safe parking in a quiet neighbourhood.   The home is fully furnished and linen is provided, however guests are asked to bring their own bath and beach towels. 

Smalls Cottage is an ideal holiday location for divers who wish to dive the Aliwal Shoal which is one of the world’s top 10 dive sites.  June & July months are a bit cooler and an ideal time to witness the Sardine run where you may also spot Dolphins, Sharks, Cape Gannets & Game fish.  We are also situated close to the Umkomaas Golf course on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

Beach: A short walk to Umkomaas Beach (800m). Although the beach is not a swimming beach it is great to walk along the beach and rock pools and watch the dive boats launching on their journey to the world famous Aliwal Shoal.  Only 9kms from Scottburgh which is a coastal resort town situated on the mouth of the Mpambanyoni River, 58kms south of Durban.  Neighbouring towns include Pennington, Renishaw, Clansthal and Park Rynie.

Umkomaas, is a small coastal town on the subtropical south coast of KwaZulu-Natal which was formed when a harbour was built in 1861 to export sugar.

 

Points of interest include Aliwal Shoal, Croc World and Umkomazi River
